Job Description

We are looking for a motivated student with a passion for information technology to join our IT team for the summer of 2025. The intern will play a key support role in our daily operations, contributing to the efficiency of our IT services while gaining hands-on experience in a stimulating professional environment.

Responsibilities

The intern will work with various members of the IT team on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Provide support for specific business applications used by the company, including problem resolution and user assistance.
  • Maintain and repair IT equipment as required (computers, printers, peripherals).
  • Handle equipment delivery and retrieval.
  • Install, configure and update operating systems and software on user workstations.
  • Process and follow up requests and incidents recorded in the ticket management system.
  • Participate in IT asset inventory management: periodic verification of equipment, documentation and updating of records.
  • Perform tests and help debug technical problems, working closely with IT team members.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes by identifying areas for optimization and proposing concrete solutions.
  • Travel to other company sites (plants) as required.

Qualifications

Education: Student currently enrolled in a college program (DEC) in computer science or in a university bachelor’s degree program (ideally 1st year completed).

Technical knowledge

  • Good understanding of the Windows 11 operating system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting (PowerShell) – an asset.

General skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (French and English).
  • Customer service orientation, active listening and solution-oriented approach.
  • Team spirit, autonomy and ability to collaborate effectively with several departments.
  • Good management of time, stress and priorities, particularly in emergency situations.
  • Professional attitude, thoroughness and attention to detail.
