Due to strong growth, our sales department is adding an Inside Sales Representative to the team. This is a full-time position that will be based at our Stoney Creek location, and is 100% onsite.

Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for:

  • Inventory control, generating leads, and maintaining accounts to achieve and exceed the company’s objectives.
  • Responding to all inquiries and promptly provide information regarding order status, deliveries, quality, or other inquiries
  • Developing relationships with customers in Purchasing, Receiving, Quality, etc.
  • Communicating customer requirements within Nova’s internal production, shipping, and quality departments.
  • Receiving and entering customer orders accurately and efficiently following company parameters.
  • Receiving customer forecasts and entering information into Nova’s MRP ensuring accuracy.
  • Leading role in working with an outside sales representative to ensure proper inventory levels – master coils as well as finished goods.
  • Identifying and resolving issues relating to customer forecasts and mill lead times.
  • Acting as the liaison between other Nova departments – Purchasing, Scheduling, Shipping, and Finance.
  • Developing a strong understanding of the job procedures as well as equipment capabilities.
  • Maintaining composure under stressful situations and high customer demands.
  • Working with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Demonstrating a reliable, dependable work effort and positive work attitude.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • University of college graduate
  • Minimum of 2 years inside sales experience preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in math, ability to multiply and divide to ensure orders are accurate and reduce scrap or raw material
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
