Job Description

Reporting to the Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager, the Marketing, Events and Social Media Advisor is responsible for creating strategies aiming to increase Nova Steel’s sales and brand recognition across North America.

The role leads multiple projects to develop a wide variety of marketing collateral (traditional and digital) and develop a creative social media calendar as well as a client experience for tradeshows and site visits.

The ideal candidate requires strong leadership and a hands-on marketing communications experience to own and deliver projects to drive results, craft and publish digital content while reinforcing the brand internally and externally.

What Will You Do:

Marketing and Social Media

  • Collaborate to the creation and the implementation of the annual marketing plan and social media calendar to support the company’s brand, sales, events, and trade shows
  • Create, posts and measures the performance of engaging and client-focused digital and video content to be used across various platforms to support product and service promotion (e.g., social media posts, email campaigns, website content, and at commercial trade shows or conferences)
  • Ensure that Nova Steel’s digital advertising is aligned with the company’s business objectives – creating synergies with other promotional initiatives, such as events, launches and sponsorships

Conferences and Events

  • In collaboration with the Director, connect with each division of the company to identify the best platforms and conferences that support their goals and maximize investment
  • Coordinate with our internal divisions to organize multiple in-person events annually, producing a unique, highly experiential, innovative, and positive customer experience
  • Handle all aspects of the event program (e.g., booth design, budget, logistics, shipping, venue sourcing and booking, entertainment, catering, and material handling)
  • Develop a game plan for each event with recommendations on how to reach the right audience and increase engagement
  • Create a post-event audit to track strengths, weaknesses and ROI
  • Ensure the company’s engagement at conferences includes opportunities for panel participation, media interviews, and content for social media
  • Report event budgets and track leads and revenue generated post-event

Stakeholder and Customer Engagement

  • Interface with the Sales and Internal Divisions leaders to produce content for speaking engagements, product promotion, and interactive sales pitches
  • Develop new and innovative strategies to create customer engagement at in-person events or using digital media

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in a coordinator or advisor role, within a B2B marketing/branding function
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications OR a combination of university studies and experience in Marketing /Branding/Communications
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills (French, English and Spanish) is a must
  • Experience creating commercial event experiences, including visuals and brand positioning
  • Experience with building a B2B brand, product positioning, writing product marketing materials, product launches, creating compelling emails and advertising campaigns
